We've just been handed the prices for those new HTC handsets. The HTC Touch HD will be selling for an RRP of £514.99, whilst the HTC Touch 3G is to sell for £319.99 without any navigation software or £349.99 with maps. The HTC Touch Viva will be up for £209.99, but remember these are all recommended prices and there's bound to be cheaper prices popping up. So you never know with these things, but I got a tip about the Verizon version of the HTC Touch Diamond and figured I'd pass it along. This is from a fairly new source who's been pretty accurate with a few *very minor* bits of information passed along to me over the past few weeks. Let's throw this new tip to the lions, shall we, and see how it turns out: HTC Touch Diamond is be released for Verizon in OctoberCould end up as the new "Ice White" color scheme just released by HTC. On to the specs............ Slower processor than current versions (400mhz) Larger battery (1340mhh) Larger rear cover (3mm thicker in total), due to larger battery. No internal memory; microSD support up to 32GBSame SDHC micro SD reader support as the Touch Pro. Frankly, I'd like to see an exact launch date and price point here, but since there's none I'm imagining a $249 price (on contract, after rebate) to compete with Sprint's version. What do you all think? Worthy tip? Already seen it elsewhere? Total nonsense? Who cares? Air it out in the comments.

Asus Taiwan has introduced its own take on the touch screen PDA handset which will feature the innovative touch-responsive user interface they call Glide - the ASUS P552w. Loaded with a 624 MHZ processor and a slew of great features, this mobile phone boasts of 3.5G HSDPA connectivity, GPS, and the Glide touch interface which enables users to perform various navigational actions including selecting, zooming, scrolling and flipping through the phone's display screen, with just a flick of the users' fingers. It also features various mobile applications that provides useful information to users including, news, weather forecast, photo slideshows, listening to music, all within a few finger taps. Additionally the unit will offer Bluetooth, WLAN 802.11 b/g, GPS, USB and other wireless connectivity features. Asus hopes to bring this unit to the States in the near future, price to be announced.
